This is my fourth colonoscopy with Gateway. Like before, everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They patiently explain every step of the procedure and continually check for understanding, ready to field all questions. Dr. Ramgopal made me feel comfortable and confident regarding the procedure, and afterward he took his time in reviewing his findings. Getting a colonoscopy is not something I look forward to, much less four times, but Gateway has made it as pleasant an experience as humanly possible.

Communication with your staff was very good. Getting the prep was easy, mailed instructions arrived in plenty of time, pre-proceedure phone call was helpful, nursing staff was very nice, I really liked the CRNA, follow-up call to check on my recovery was appreciated. I did call to get more detail on what I needed to stop eating five days in advance. I'm sorry, it didn't occur to me that my daily vitamin has iron in it which may have affected my prep. I'm a little sketchy about how to set-up a portal, but I'm sure we can figure it out. Thank you.

Dr. Matthews is very good and the experience was as good as I could have hoped. I think offering the patient an ice cream cone after the procedure would have been nice. All the staff were very good too.

I really appreciate my quarterly telephone appointment with Katie. It is a great way for me to keep current with reflux issues. Katie always gives me great advice for small adjustments to my diet. Also, Katie advised me to try a different probiotic. I did not know that it was good for gut health to switch up your probiotic.

Dr. McMorrow is one of the few doctors I have visited recently that is will to spend time with you and answer all of you questions. He performed more of a physical on me than I got from my GP recently. When I asked him about any liver issues he said stay put and I will go look at your recent blood work. When he cam back he said all looked good, which make me very comfortable. When I told him I was concerned on weight gain he has recommend a dietitian to work with me.

Unlike all of my previous colonoscopies After I arrived home I had terrible discomfort around my rectum. 2 ibuprofen helped quite a bit but the pain was so bad I was unable to sit. I used prep h to help as well. After a nights sleep I feel much better today.

Dr. McMorrow is the ONLY Dr I have ever seen who walks in having already read your chart, remembers your history and knows what is bringing you in so he can immediately start addressing your concerns. I hadn’t been in in almost two years and he was still up to date with what we went over on my last visit and asked great follow up questions. And ON TIME! I did not feel like a number to him. Also, this may just be me, but I appreciate the old school use of pen and paper to take notes while making eye contact. He wasn’t sitting there staring at the screen and typing away. I’m sure he used a laptop after he walked out, but was sure nice to be looked and spoken to while questions being asked.

Cheri was well prepared to discuss my situation with gastrointestinal issues over the years. I have been the doctors in that office and Cheri for well over 20 years, which included 5 colonoscopies/5 endoscopies during that period. Cheri gives excellent advice on what medicines to use to relieve the discomfort associated with my discomfort through the years. I applaud her efforts and the entire staff.

Personnel were friendly. Admission process involved some duplication of information which could have been more streamlined. Setting up the IV was difficult due to dehydration but staff were caring and gentle in their efforts. Dr. Ramgopal and Jill, the nurse anesthetist, did a great job. I have met with Dr. Ramgopal on several occasions. He always listens to my questions and concerns. He really cares about his patients and what they are going through and has personally called to check in with me. I would recommend his practice to anyone dealing with Gastrointestinal issues.
