About Dr Christopher Nguyen, DO

Christopher Nguyen, DO, is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He believes in partnering with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize education, prevention, and long-term health.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, Dr. Nguyen earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he also was selected to serve as chief resident. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at St. Louis University.

His clinical interests include complex inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and Ulcerative colitis), colorectal cancer screening and prevention, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease, pancreatic and biliary disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, and endoscopy. He is committed to utilizing the latest advances in gastroenterology to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen is a big foodie, enjoys traveling with his wife who is an advanced endoscopist herself, weight lifting, and spending time with their two English bulldog rescues named Plum and Cannoli. He looks forward to welcoming new patients to the practice.
