Procedures

Gateway Gastroenterology is a group of 8 board-certified gastroenterologists who treat patients with various gastrointestinal illnesses. Gateway physicians perform all standard endoscopic and therapeutic evaluations but focus on quality screening colonoscopy in order to decrease the incidence of colon cancer.

What sets Gateway Gastroenterology apart from other practices is the training of our physicians!

All of our physicians are board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology with training from some of the finest medical centers including Johns Hopkins, Washington University, Stanford University, the University of Missouri– Columbia, Northwestern University, Indiana University, Vanderbilt University, University of Texas– Southwestern, and St. Louis University.

Not only is training important for providing quality patient care but so, too, is experience. The 8 physicians of Gateway Gastroenterology collectively perform roughly 12,000 endoscopic procedures per year. Such high volumes strengthen endoscopic skills and physician confidence.

Quarterly reviews of Gateway’s endoscopy procedures consistently rank the physicians of Gateway Gastroenterology as leaders in gastrointestinal endoscopy quality. In fact, the Gateway Endoscopy Center was recently awarded for such quality by becoming an American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE)-recognized endoscopy unit.
