Jeffrey T. Kreikemeier, M.D.
Dr. Kreikemeier is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center and then spent three years at St. Louis University as a fellow in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division. He joined Gateway Gastroenterology in 2006 and is proud to be practicing medicine in his home town with a group of dedicated physicians and staff. Since joining the practice there have been a number of changes in healthcare, but he and the other members of Gateway Gastroenterology pride themselves on consistently providing excellent, data-driven care for a patients with digestive diseases. The Gateway Endoscopy Center and office reflect that commitment to quality care.
Dr. Kreikemeier is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) as well as the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (CCF). He serves on the board of the CCF, helps with fundraising, and has planned educational meetings for patients and healthcare providers. He also regularly consults with the Healing Grace Clinic, a non-profit clinic providing faith-based healthcare for an underserved St. Louis population. Dr. Kreikemeier’s areas of clinical interest include inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopic evaluation of digestive diseases, as well as celiac disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Besides medicine, Dr. Kreikemeier’s passion is his family. He is married with 5 children who are involved in a variety of sports as well as school and church activities. As a family they enjoy traveling to Michigan for peaceful summer vacations because they know that Lake Michigan is dad’s “happy place”!
