David D. Benage, M.D.
Dr. Benage earned his B.A. with Honors in Biology from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 1980. He attended medical school there as well and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in 1987 and then went on to Indiana University for Gastroenterology/Hepatology training . He completed this in 1989.
Dr. Benage is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
In practice for more than 20 years, he served as Chief, Division Gastroenterology at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center as well as Medical Director, GI Laboratory at St. John’s for more than 11 years.
Dr. Benage is a member of the America Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Physicians.
